It all started when we left the corporate world and embarked on our own journey. We wanted to discover everything we could about making sourdough pizza—and we did! This led us to open East Pizzas in October 2017.
It certainly didn’t start off with bright blue skies, but we quickly learnt something that we knew would carry our passion into the future with us—we love sourdough! Most will know how difficult it is to master sourdough recipes, but we kept trying day in and day out until we got it just right.
Then the pandemic hit, and we saw people investing back into life’s simple pleasers….including making homemade pizzas! Everyone wanted to get their hands on top-quality dough for home cooking, so we began to provide just that.
A few years later, here we are! Providing damn good sourdough dough balls, pre-made bases and pre-topped pizzas to our lovely customers and filling their kitchens with delicious, homemade pizzas! This was my first attempt at making pizza using raw dough and me and my family were very impressed with the results. "Best pizza ever!" according to my 4 year old grand daughter, and who am I to argue :-) When I need more, I will be buy again without hesitation.
Such fun building our own pizzas at home. Great bases and really quick to cook in our home oven. They tasted amazing. It would have been good if the crusts were a little softer after cooking. And a tad better packaged. As I think some air getting to them in transit could have impacted the crusts. They arrived not fully protected. Other than that fantastic bases and we will be re ordering

Great ready made bases, so easy to make and they were delicious too, no brainer, no fuffing around with flour and trying to roll out the dough, just open the packet, fill with your favourite base and put the ingredients on and put it in my pizza oven on my bar b q, 5 minus done to perfection! Ill definitely buy these again.

Wow, Love these pizza bases, so much easier than fuffing around with sticky dough and trying to roll it out perfect to be able to use and putting flour on a board to stop them sticking etc etc, Pre made, just add the passata base, add the toppings, voila, pop into the pizza oven on my bar b q, and 5 mins later there ready, delicious, will definately buy these again, Game changer

I have sent an e-mail but unfortunately completely spoilt unusable. Although box clearly states perishable the box looks as though it has been upside down and sideways silver packaging was broken open and completely defrosted. I would like to return them to you please.

Pizza was not delivered until 13 August. The actual box does not have a use by date on it. When opened them up the “best before date” was the 16 August - so they ended up straight in the bin! Very poor service!

First time using our ninja pizza oven 😂 the pizza bases made it so easy and I think it will just take a few tries to perfect the topping amount !! Have popped the remaining bases in the freezer so hopefully they will work as well next time 🤞

Really good dough
I have to be totally honest, but having tried lots of pizza base / pizza dough, EAST PIZZA is the BEST by far. For my husband and I it’s total game changer. We have now both decided that every Thursday evening will be our Pizza evening using your fabulous pizza dough base. Thank you so much and well done for creating your amazing range .

Tried the base as soon as they arrived! (haven’t tried after freezing yet! Hoping they are as good!) The pizza base was lovely, really light! I brushed the crust with oil rather than water. Will try leaving for a little longer in the ninja next time but really pleased overall!

Pizza dough arrived well packaged and within the time specified. Easy to use and good instructions on how to defrost. Pizzas turned out great and were really tasty. Communication was great on day of delivery but could have been a little better between ordering and dispatching as it took longer to deliver than stated. If it is a busy time and orders are going to take longer a message just to confirm this would help.

Absolutely love the East Pizzas sourdough pizza bases! They taste amazing and make homemade pizza so quick and easy. The base cooks beautifully — lovely and crisp underneath with a really authentic sourdough crust. Just add your favourite toppings and you genuinely get restaurant-quality pizza at home. I also love that you can freeze them and just take one out when you fancy a pizza. So convenient and SO much better than supermarket pizza bases. We’ll definitely be ordering more! 🍕❤️

These pre cooked prepared bases and are very convenient if you don’t have much time, but they get very crisp before the toppings are cooked. I prefer the actual dough balls to roll out yourself & cook from raw. Much better results !

How long will my dough stay fresh?
The dough will stay fresh for three days in the fridge or up to three months in the freezer. The bases will also stay fresh for three days, or for three months in the freezer.
How long should I cook my pizza for?
If you're cooking your pizza in a pizza oven, please follow the instructions of your specific pizza oven as these can vary.
If you're cooking your pizza in a normal oven, we suggest popping it up to 220 for ten minutes.
If you're cooking your pizza in a cast iron pan, the cooking time will vary depending on heat
Where do you source your ingredients?
Our dough is as natural as possible, and made with flour, water, and a pinch of salt. We use flour that has been milled in the UK, and Scottish water. The provenance of our other products can be found in the
description of each product. Our aim is to bring you the best Scottish and pizza products.
How long will my dough take to be delivered?
This depends on the kind of order you place - we aim to deliver within three working days, unless otherwise stated on the product page.
