Who we are
Our website address is: https://eastpizzas.com.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
How long we retain your data
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
However, users cannot directly access, edit or delete personal information collected by Shopify, which is collected as outlined further below under “Shopify”. Users can contact the site administrators to delete this information for them if they so wish.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have placed orders through our online ordering system, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Our online ordering system is powered by Shopify. Store products are accessed remotely from our website, based on the customer’s selected East Pizzas location, and presented for them to make their selection. Upon proceeding to checkout, customers leave eastpizzas.com and are redirected to that specific East Pizzas restaurant’s Shopify store’s secure payment area.
Once an order is placed, customers may view their orders under My Account, which requires us to fetch order information from Shopify using information provided by the customer when they create an account. If the customer has placed orders with more than one East Pizzas restaurant at any point, then this information will be used to fetch order information from the corresponding Shopify stores of every restaurant with which they have placed orders. Customer information is also shared between our site and Shopify stores individually in the process of updating, fulfilling, closing and cancelling specific orders.
The following information is provided courtesy of Shopify. Because customers do not directly interact with any of our restaurant’s Shopify stores, with the exception of proceeding to checkout to make payment, finalise and place orders, some phrases have been modified or clarified to avoid misleading or confusing statements. Editions and clarifying comments are denoted by square brackets where this is the case.
When you [proceed to checkout when placing an order], we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, [as you browse the checkout area] we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site [it should be noted that users will always be referred to the checkout area via eastpizzas.com], and information about how you interact with [the checkout area]. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”
We collect Device Information using the following technologies:
- “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers [when not paying upon collection or delivery]), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
